In the near field of microphone-array, wave-front of the sound from the sound sources located in the near-field range is spherical and, thus, the difference of the input signals to the microphones, which is an important information in the array signal processing, is dependent on the range from the sources to the array as well as the direction of the sources. In this database, impulse responses from the sound sources located in the near-field range of the microphone array are included. By using this database, the sound field in the near-field range of the microphone-array can be simulated.
